To the individual who found a way to combine Bob Ross and The Golden Girls with absolute, complete and total perfection gets: 1 of these 👊🏼 | 2 of these 👍🏼 | 5 of these ✋🏽 | 10 of these 🙌🏽 | a round of this 👏🏽 | and all my this 🤟🏼. Having Blanche Devereaux, Rose Nylund, Dorothy Zbornak, and Sophia Petrillo living among happy little trees just might be one of the most beautiful utopias ever created. "Make love to the canvas.” - Bob Ross #thankyouforbeingafriend #whiteafro #Bobhasason #PeggyhatedBobRoss

I love soccer, which will come at no surprise to those who know me. When the @nwsl announced that Utah would be getting a women's team, I was elated. Having @realsaltlake and @utahroyalsfc in my part of the world was a dream come true. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend any of the women's games due to a decline in my physical health. I'm becoming more and more limited in what I can and cannot do. The details are unimportant and, in truth, are not something I want to share with the world. I'd rather focus on the good- I'm happy, blessed beyond measure, and have a family I adore. This poster was sitting on my kitchen table when I woke up this morning. @greenbai_packers is a season ticket holder for RSL and URFC. He went to a 'meet the team' night and had each player sign this poster for me. No fanfare. No note. It's just his way of letting me know he cares. I, of course, got a bit teary-eyed because of how much it meant to me. Thank you, Bai, for putting a smile on my face. Knowing I have him in my corner makes even the most difficult of times easier.

Carmel Carmella Anthony Carma Carm Charmeleon I love when Carmel stays with us. She's a sweetheart and is Beckerman's best friend. She is tall. He is short. She weighs 10 pounds. He weighs 20 pounds. They're the cutest odd couple I've ever seen. Carmel was with us when we had to let go of Mia. As I look back, I remember her being gentle and patient with Mia. She stayed close to Mia but kept enough distance so that she didn't bother her. That tender heart is one of my favorite things about Carmel. She loved Mia enough to let her go and she loves Beckerman enough to tolerate his wild ways. He doesn't share well and is very stubborn yet she seems to know how to keep him in line. Much love to the @brentwbailey family for sharing her sweet soul with us. She's part of the family and we wouldn't have it any other way.

We didn't make it to the playoffs but we played today's match with heart and courage. Winning the last home game was as important as every other game this season and that says a lot about a team. Thank you @utahroyalsfc for an amazing first season!

The Utah Royals FC play their final game of their inaugural season today. The top 4 teams move on to the playoffs. We ended in the 5th spot, a few points away from the playoffs. I'm a bit bummed we ended without a post-season, but I have loved watching each and every match. As a fan of the game, it has been fun to see so many people embrace the @nwsl and the Utah Royals. Best of luck to @utahroyalsfc in today's match!

If you are a woman and have not seen this documentary, please watch it. In fact, man or woman, you need to see it. We owe this woman more than I ever knew. I am a wee bit ashamed that I did not know how much she has done for gender equality. Education, women in the workplace, women who have served our country, making sure a dad can receive spousal support if a mother dies giving birth, etc . . . Thank you to all men and women who have fought for freedom and equality. #thenotoriousRBG

Nom de Plume

This is the Official Blog of T.B. Williams. It is a site dedicated to literature, reading, writing, editing, revising, thoughts, quotes, and all other passions I discover. Over time I will build a collection of literary thoughts, rantings and ravings, pensive moments, possible inspirations, positive and negative points of view, a bit of logic, a lot of ethical and moral implications, and all of the raw and prickly pathos based emotions that jump from my fingertips to the keyboard.
All posts are original. Some content can also be found on my Facebook, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest, Tumblr, and Twitter accounts.

My life is simple. In fact, it is borderline boring. However, I am starting to embrace my lack of adventure. A bit of fun here and there is great, but I'm generally content with minimal, unadorned ventures. I love to read, write, teach (currently I'm teaching English 1010 and 2010 at the local community college), watch movies (both at home and in the theater), attend soccer games (Go RSL!), spend time with family and friends, and roast marshmallows for s'mores in our backyard pit.
