Happy Birthday to my furry friend who changed my life! I think of you every day and appreciate our time together. I miss you like crazy but find joy and gratitude in the memories we created. Thank you for choosing me.

20 years ago I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the California, Roseville Mission. On this very day, I was serving in Paradise, California. I spent four months living in a breathtaking forest full of giant, awe inspiring trees that surrounded every home. They stood grand and tall, as if they were protecting the people around them. It was a beautiful area full of kind, loving people who opened their hearts and homes to us as we set out to share a message of love. My heart is broken for the wonderful people of Paradise. My thoughts and prayers are with all who have lost everything, including loved ones.
