CRACKERJACK

• w 0 r (D or TH) • Yesterday was World Poetry Day and since I’m a believer in words and their power to lift us up, I figured I’d share one of my faves. “Hope” is the thing with feathers - That perches in the soul - And sings the tune without the words - And never stops - at all - And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard - And sore must be the storm - That could abash the little Bird That kept so many warm - I’ve heard it in the chillest land - And on the strangest Sea - Yet - never - in Extremity, It asked a crumb - of me.

• mi hijo • He is my straight line in a world of chaos, A shovel when the mud is too deep. His rhythmic breathing calms my nerves His eyes a window to a peace I seek. He’s my laughter in a pool of tears, He is food for my hungry soul. A breath of fresh air after hibernation. A crackling fire when my heart is cold. And this ... When he falls asleep downstairs, In this world I call home, I feel safe and happy Knowing He feels safe and happy With me. Sleep well, sweet boy. And please... Promise me you will be back soon. T.B. The roads traveled by players around the world since the first Women’s World Cup in 1991 has given this sport a bigger fan base as well as an understanding of why they fight for equal pay. I respect their dedication and devotion to the game they love and know they are carrying dreams of little ones each time they touch the put that ball into the back of the net!!

Carmel- part cat/ part dog. The back of this chair is right by the window and seems to be the perfect place to perch. I love this sweet girl and am so grateful the Brent Bailey family lets us love and spoil her when she stays with us. She’s taller than Beckerman but is only half his weight. They’ve become the best of friends and I can’t help but smile each time Beckerman greets her with a kiss. #beckermanmojibailey #beckandcarmel

• imPORTENT • Discovering this photo of a darling baby Beckerman on #loveyourpetday AND #throwbackthursday is not a coincidence. In fact, I find it to be quite auspicious - very auspicious, indeed! #beckermanmojibailey #keepingitPG

Eyelid cyst removal was a success! BUT.... If you know Beckerman, he would have completely omitted the surgery and written . . . you should see the other guy! #beckermanmojibailey

#beckermanmojibailey is my constant reminder that love - real love, true love, unconditional love - is a beautiful gift. Here's to seeing 2020 with a pair of rose-ish colored glasses, figuratively and literally.

Nom de Plume

This is the Official Blog of T.B. Williams. It is a site dedicated to literature, reading, writing, editing, revising, thoughts, quotes, and all other passions I discover. Over time I will build a collection of literary thoughts, rantings and ravings, pensive moments, possible inspirations, positive and negative points of view, a bit of logic, a lot of ethical and moral implications, and all of the raw and prickly pathos based emotions that jump from my fingertips to the keyboard.
All posts are original. Some content can also be found on my Facebook, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest, Tumblr, and Twitter accounts.

My life is simple. In fact, it is borderline boring. However, I am starting to embrace my lack of adventure. A bit of fun here and there is great, but I'm generally content with minimal, unadorned ventures. I love to read, write, teach (currently I'm teaching English 1010 and 2010 at the local community college), watch movies (both at home and in the theater), attend soccer games (Go RSL!), spend time with family and friends, and roast marshmallows for s'mores in our backyard pit.
