Saturday's loss was rough for a brand new @nwsl team playing at home for the first time. I wanted the win, we all did, but losses are part of the game. I opted to let the loss go and focus on the good: In my opinion, they played well for a newly formed team; The atmosphere was perfect; The love for the Royals felt strong and I think there will be a loyal fan base. The best moment of the game was when @amyrodriguez8 was subbed into the match. She had not played in a game for 363 days. Her soccer career is full of records. She plays for the #USWNT and was part of the team in 2015's World Cup win. After having her second son, she helped the former KCFC win the NWSL Cup. And then, a torn ACL. She worked hard to get back on the pitch and gave the Red Stars a run for their money in her 10+ minutes in the game. We may not have walked away with a win, but the good outweighs the bad this time around. Welcome back, A Rod! #Repost @utahroyalsfc with @insta.save.repost • • •
