I wonder if I would be kind, patient, tolerant and forgiving if I spent one day in the shoes of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King. I hope I'd have the faith and courage needed to stand up for equality and humanity. I'm grateful for the sacrifices made by Martin Luther King, Jr., his wife Coretta Scott King, and the countless others who peacefully protested because they believed change was possible. ·"Hate is too great a burden to bear. After years of wishing for change, the #USMNT finally swallowed their pride, put politics side, and cleaned house! Their first game with a new coach and young, very talented players shows a possible bright future for the #USMNT. A big shout out to RSL's @coreybaird23 on his first cap . . Not a bad way to start 2019 for the MLS Rookie player of 2018!

In June of 1964, Dr. King was arrested during a St. Augustine, Florida sit-in. He was placed in the back seat of a police car along with a German shepherd police dog, apparently attempting to intimidate Mr. King. Instead, the two promptly became friends. (Info below) This photo speaks volumes. Dogs don't care about race, religion or gender; they don't look for disparity nor do they worry about trivial nuances human beings obsess over. They speak one language . . . LOVE. Unconditional love. I can only hope that through the examples and sacrifices of great men and women that I have added humanity to my understanding of being human. And I am beyond grateful that I have Beckerman to remind me that love should be shown, and given, without condition. #mlkjr #beckermanmojibailey Info found on http://bit.ly/2Dro0ac

My heart began to heal when Mia entered my world. She filled more holes than I could even attempt to count. Her brother took over the task using the same tools - unconditional love and grace. I know that life isn't easy and I'm fully aware we won't leave this earth unscathed. However, having two of my greatest teachers keep my heart mended and whole is a gift and blessing I'll carry with me in this life and the next. ##princessmiasarahbailey #beckermanmojibailey @picsart

The one New Year's resolution I know I'll keep is to read more books. I'm guessing that opting to add something you already do shouldn't count, but it is the one "goal" I know I'll keep. So, without further ado (pun intended), I will read at least 10 new books in 2019! 🎉 #2019 #booknerd #ihateresolutions #booksarecool #read

This guy . . . he has so much love to give and does so unconditionally. I love him and the sweet presence he brings to our home! Merry Christmas! May your hearts and homes remember what is of most importance on this special day. #HELIVES #LDS #loveeveryoneeverywhere

This handsome devil came home from his grooming appointment looking polished and debonair. I'm pretty sure his morning walks will include an extra step in his strut over the next few days. (Just a fyi for the dogs watching from inside . . . and yes, he is very aware which houses have dogs who gaze at him through the window.) 😍😂 🐶 🐕 #beckermanmojibailey #miniatureschnauzer

20 years ago I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the California, Roseville Mission. On this very day, I was serving in Paradise, California. I spent four months living in a breathtaking forest full of giant, awe inspiring trees that surrounded every home. They stood grand and tall, as if they were protecting the people around them. It was a beautiful area full of kind, loving people who opened their hearts and homes to us as we set out to share a message of love. My heart is broken for the wonderful people of Paradise. My thoughts and prayers are with all who have lost everything, including loved ones.
